Question about 101.3 in Gonzales

101.3 low powered radio station in Gonzales. (Talk radio format) Is that a Leagle station? I have been getting that over 101X and KONO for the past months now. I just cant see the FCC letting that one go on 101.3 even if it was leagle. Does anyone have any infomation on that?
Edited by jras20 on 06/26/05 11:31 PM.

I don't think that station is "leagle". The FCC database for Gonzales licensed FMs is available here. I don't see anything for 101.3. Are you sure it is in Gonzales?

If it is talk it might be part of Radio Free Austin airing the Genesis Radio Network (Alex Jones among others)

I'm not to sure where excactly the transmitter is, but I drive down the area at least twice a week when I'm going out to my place down in southern Lavaca county, but it is talk format, I didnt pay attention but it must of been in mono broadcast, it may be that talk network format, I Just cant see them being on 101.3 though. Sure thats a fringe area for kono & krox but I still did listen to them most of the time when driving through there. Once you get out of that 101.3's area then they start to come back in.

That's exactly what it is. Illegal in every aspect, and part of a network of illegal stations around the Austin-San Antonio area. It was covered on this board sometime ago.
