Question about cassette adapter..........

I have a Starmate.....whenever I use the cassette adapter for the starmate, everything comes in mono but when I use it for my Ipod it plays it in stereo. Whats the deal here?? Anyone....anyone????

When I use my fm direct connect it comes in stereo but doesnt really sound all that great.....

Does your car radio have an auxilary jack?if it does just use that Radio Shack has aux jack wire for like 4 or 5 dollars.you will get very good stereo sound..that is how I use my SIRIUS Radio... all SIRIUS radios have a aux line out so if your radio has a aux line in your all set..

I have found that cassette adapters lead to problems with the cassette player. It happened on two GM units and one Toyota. I don't think it's a coincidence.

Those motors will go out in 2 years. yes it does sound better, even when i powered it with a cassette adapter for the first generation XM satellites. Terry young sounded like he was the passenger. But I wouldn't go that way....when the capstan drives and motor goes...it all goes.
