Question about Christie commercials

I was listening to a radio station here in Atlantic County and I heard a commercial for state tourism post Sandy voiced by Gov. Christie and members of his family. I also saw an article on the NJ.com site regarding this and questioning if it was OK for his family to do it. Is there really a problem here? He's not attacking other politicians. He and his family are promoting the state. Did he do anything wrong here?

Are they paid commercials? Are they in the Public Service Announcement category.

I don't understand what question you are raising. If they were not asking you to vote for someone in an election, and they don't say "this is a paid political announcement.... " what question are you asking?

It appears the question is what exactly is the issue that some have with Christie doing the commercials. The NJ.com article not him was questioning if it was ok

Here's a link that may clarify things

Thanks for the link to the story and the video of the commercial.

I can see where folks could get upset with a governor appearing in state tourism commercials during an election cycle, but trying to bring tourism back to life following the storm damage is hard to criticize. And his appearance in the commercial is so low-key. I hope the legislators of NJ have issues facing them that are more important that a law to squelch the governor.
