Question about J93.3

Found this on wikipedia of all places:

"The future is very bright for WVFJ listeners, as a tower move and power increase will soon bring the station to the north side of Atlanta as well."
(type in "provident broadcasting" on Google to get to this link)

I don't know if this is VERY old info referring to the 'new' tower they put up about 6 years ago, or is there something in the works I'm not aware of?

May be true, but since Wikipedia can be changed by a 5 year old and has no credibility whatsoever, I'd wait for real confirmation.

There is a current app to increase power 73KW to 100KW and move the tower

I listened to the weekend rock show of J-93.3. I'm very impressed! I also like their music mix during the week, but the signal is so weak in north Gwinnett. I'm still waiting on the translator "98.9 in Suwannee." They do need a translator in north Gwinnett.

The new WVFJ site will actually be farther from Atlanta, and the height will be decreased somewhat. However, the increase in wattage will get the signal slightly farther into Atlanta.

I'm guessing this little signal improvement for J93.3 was made possible by WZGC's move from the Westin to the Richland site.
