QUESTION ABOUT KJUL

I listen to KJUL on the web. A friend of mine who has just moved to Vegas
says they have a bad signal in the city. I see they have CP for a XMTR location change. Does anyone know when it will actually be on the air.

Site appears to be on BLM land.....You're looking at $80K to $120k in environmental studies and a 2 to 4 year delay from the first BLM application filing....and this is the BEST possible timeline....government in INaction. Sadly....I'm the expert on this one.

The CP is essentially at the same location, but it increases the HAAT quite a bit. Still, the 65 dbu coverage only increases from 25,000 persons to about 200,000 in a market that is right under 2,000,000 population. It's still a rimshot, but now a bad rimshot instead of a nearly useless one.

At present, KJUL is averaging about 35th in 25-54 in the market.

Too bad. This is such a good station. Wish we had one like it again here in Houston. I know it is a long shot, but can they move the tower a little closer to Vegas?

It used to be on 104.3 a few years ago, but then they began flipping the format. If I remember correctly, the format didn't do all that well in Vegas.

KJUL was often #1 12+ when it was on 104.3,...but it was all 55+.
