Question about KROCK imaging

Is the imaging voice they are currently using the same one that KROCK New York used? And if he is did they just use the same sweepers that the NY KROCK used or did they make new ones for Cleveland? The only time I ever hear the imaging guy mention Cleveland is during the top of the hour station id.

I've done many station launches (Atlanta, Greensboro, Raleigh (x3), Greenville SC and NC, Toledo and more) and re-launches. Often what happens is shells (mixouts) with like VO and no calls are sent to the station where they (or the originating station) adds the calls. Voila'! Instant ID's.

Clear Channel was forward thinking in developing an Imaging site for producers to access and share ideas, shells, workparts, etc. In order to post audio for sweeps or promos you had to have your station sample, a mix-minus with the VO but no calls, and a no VO version. As well as workparts. All in the file and slated stating what imaging packages and VO talent you had to be licensed for in order to use any/all of the pieces.

Everything from artist drops to music promos to contesting. You name it! I truly miss that site. What a fantastic resource. Especially for those markets where the PD was also on the air AND did the imaging. The CC Imaging site, along with imaging packages from Chase Cuts, Frostbytes, Premiere MJI, etc, All assisted in making life easier. And the product better. If you wanna use the CC site, it's there. If not, don't.

I provided the imaging for the 2003 rock/active rock group contetsing.

CC also has a Production/Copywriter site for Commercial folks. Sharing copy, voices, etc. All voluntary.

I digress...

I would assume that a "launch package" was provided to KROCK/Cleveland to help make the switch smoother. I'm just guessing here, that imaging MAY have also been provided by Pittsburgh and/or L.A. Jake Kaplan images KROQ/L.A. (used to image WHFS/DC). Jake is one of the best active/alt imagers in radio. I'm not saying this did occur, but it may have. And if no assistance was provided...well that's stupid.
Edited by bigwoody on 02/03/06 03:48 AM.
