Question About Make Room For Daddy/The Danny Thomas Show

There was an effort to create a spinoff starring Danny's TV daughter Terry (Penney Parker) and her husband Pat (Pat Harrington Jr.), but this never went anywhere.

Ok, that brings up another question. Two actresses played daughter Terry? Sherry Jackson & Penny Parker. Why did Sherry Jackson leave the show?

Re; WHY did Sherry Jackson leave the show?

(consider the source) Wikipedia says, "Danny Thomas felt Sherry Jackson had outgrown her part."

WOW what a beauty! She has been in over 50 tv shows and movies since she left.

According to IMDB:
Marlo Thomas did make an appearance on "The Danny Thomas Show", but as "Stella Mason" her first season "Joey Bishop Show" character, in an apparent crossover episode between the two shows..aired March 27, 1961

From interviews she's given, I think Marlo was a little bit embarrassed when an episode based on something that had happened in the real-life Thomas household came on, like her life (and that of her two siblings) was being put before the whole country. But face it: who outside the family would know or care?

Another note on what I called the Danny Thomas/Joey Bishop "crossover" episode:In digging further, based on the date of the "Danny Thomas" episode (3-27-61) and the fact that the Joey Bishop Show began on NBC September 20, 1961, The Danny Thomas Episode ( Titled:Everything Happens to Me) actually served as the "Joey Bishop Show" Pilot episode..
