QUESTION ABOUT NEW YORK CITY CHR's.....(LATE 80'S/EARLY 90'S)

Hard for me to believe that the long running "OPEN HOUSE PARTY" w/ Jon Garabedean is actually still around today. The thing that I've always found kind of interesting is that when the show began around 1987 or 88, that it was mostly in the MAJOR MARKETS and then slowly over the years and currently, it's mostly heard in the SMALLER MARKETS.

So my question is.......

When was OPEN HOUSE PARTY in New York City? And who carried it?....PLJ?...HOT-97?...Z100?......Would love to know the answer. ;D

If memory serves me correctly that show was never heard on any NYC stations. However WBLI out on Long Island used to carry it.
