Question about old KLOK jocks

What ever happend to Jay Stone, who did overnights for many years at KLOK-AM
from 1973 until the station changed to a Spanish format in 1988? Please let me know.

Also, does anyone know what happend to Ralph Hasty, Jim Philips, Don Welsh, Neil Cannon, Lenny Mac, Steve Pollock,
Tom Garrison, Jim Russell and Steve Johnson? THANKS!

Jay Stone still lives in the San Jose area and works in the Computer biz. He's still a great hockey fan too.

The heck with Jay Stone, I want to know whatever happened to that character known as Sid Sports on KLOK? ::)

We had a Jay Stone as manager at Hot I94 in Honolulu, in the mid-80s. Maybe the same guy? White guy, medium height and build, reddish-blond, deep slightly nasal voice. He definitely came straight from the mainland for the gig, but I can't recall from where.

The heck with all those guys. Does anyone remember "Ron Dunn with the Live Line to the World of Sports on KEWB?" Whoops!! Wrong thread...

Double heck!!! How about the great Barney Lee on KEWB! He worked both news and sports with Ron Baker and Knowles Robertson. Baker took over the sports when Barney retired.

That was a different Jay Stone. Actually the Jay Stone that was in Hawaii several years back was the famous one having worked at stations like 99X in New York and KCBQ in San Diego to name but a few. I remember him when he was in LA working at KFI. Sadly he's no longer with us. He apparently had some kind of heart episode while driving in Hawaii and crashed his car. He was a great jock.

Oh, how very sad! He was a nice guy, I enjoyed working with him. And Michael Qseng dead now, too. I guess that era is truly over - who could've guessed they'd go so young.

Thanks for the info.
