Question about the Cox and WB

Back in 2003, Cox Communications of Rhode Island abruptly dropped the WB from their lineup. It was on channel 16 and one Saturday morning when I wanted to watch KidsWB I turned it on and I got HSN. HSN is still on channel 16 over here to this day. My question is what the hell happened? I'm not sure if it was WLVI-TV or some other affiliate but I know that Rhode Island had the WB at one point. It was not UPN either, it was the actual WB. I have been trying to find any information about it that I can but so far I have gotten nothing. I'm a bit confused by it and I was confused by it back then. What happened to make them change over the WB to HSN. If anybody knows something about this, please tell me.
