Question About The Rest Of Imus Guys

That is agood Question...I would assume Charles Mccord(spelling) would be part of Mike and the Mad Dog show for News. Since this is a morning drive show. From what I get from WFAN's Website. Mike and The Mad dog are going to add more current event type stuff to the Sports Talk.
This will be interesting. I think this is going to be trial run for those two in Morning drive and see where it goes from there. It seems alot of the Imus affiliates are going to stick with it on a trial basis. and see where it leads.
Mike and the Mad Dog from what I get will stay a "Comedy/ Sports talk show" if they keep all the regulars on.
I know where radio will be tuned Monday Morning.

Charles is an intelligent, articulate man. Has many varied interests and accomplishments, including being a REgistered Nurse, and studying classical piano.

Tis ashame his intelligence, vocubulary, and personality cannot be used in other resources.

There is no saying that McCord won't be on Mike & The Mad Dog as the news guy....I do think Bernie is done, though "in front" of the mic....remember it was Imus that was fired, not the rest of his show

Wasn't it Bernie who started with the Ho Comment? Check the tape. I think it was his joke that got the whole thing rolling.

They'll all be back in front of the microphone when they go on Sirius. Remember, Mel Karmazan is very close with Imus. He used to refer to him as the Zenmaster.

EVERYBODY refers to Karmazin as the Zenmaster.....I don't know if Stern & Imus could co exist in the same building

With Stern making as much money as he does, and his audience being vastly different from Imus' listeners, Howie wouldn't care less if Don was on Sirius. All HS cares about is his money and Imus won't cut into that.

Stern has been making comments lately saying that he can't wait to retire and how he wishes he was Imus right now. Stern has lost his drive. He's got all the money in the world. Mentally he is done. He just comes to work now to fufill his contract. He wouldn't care who else is in that building at this point.

Not true. Stern has said on his show that he will quit if Sirius hires Imus (although he has a 5 year contract, so I guess what he really means to say is that he will not renew). I don't think Sirius will hire Imus because they want to keep their cash cow happy. Imus' brother Fred already works for Sirius on one of the classic country channels. Before they hired him they approached Stern about it and he gave it his blessing. But no way he'll give his blessing to this. The stories that Howard tells about how miserable, rude and racist the man was when they worked together at NBC would make anyone cringe. Keith Oberman also spoke ill on his show of Imus and how all the MSNBC staffers were very happy to see him go, citing most of the same problems.

After all this blows over, I think Imus will probably be hired by XM. He'll likely be on the same channel as Opie and Anthony since they're supposedly friendly. Hell, XM spent a gazillion dollars on Oprah who does a half hour show a week, so what's a couple more million dollars? In the end, none of this will matter anyway since both services are likely to merge.

For the record, I don't think Stern is stale and tired at all. He said he wanted out of business while he was at CBS battling management over censorship in the last couple of years before he left. But he hasn't said anything about getting out of the business since joining Sirius. I've been a loyal listener since 1992, and most fans including myself would agree that his show sounds better now than it's ever has.

For the record...Charles McCord is doing news on Mike & The Mad Dog, as I said, CBS execs have stated he is still with the company. Check All Access net news for more
