Question About Untiy 4000

My Unity 4000 will show a 8.3 for signal strenght one day and the next day it says "FIFO Lost Sync". Could I have an LNB going out? Could the Unity be going out? Could my dish be off alittle? Could it be all the above?
How do I solve the problem, whatever it may be?
Thanks,
Jeff

An 8.3 signal strength is not that great to begin with. You should try and tweak your dish just a little in each direction to see if it brings your signal level up. You would want a signal level of at least 10, ideally a 14+

I carried a 5.3 for years. Now have a stellar 8.3. 10 foot to 12 foot dish.

No loss of signal in many years since hitting the bigger dish. Also moving location helped. Placed it behind the building blocking western winds.

A cool ICE or Polyphaser in line coaxial lightning protector solved some problems.....
