In 2017 when Entercom bought the CBS radio stations there was an agreement that WCBS and WCBS-FM can use the CBS calls for 20 years. Was a similar agreement made when WABC was sold? Can Cumulus or a future owner of 770 AM use the WABC calls indefinitely?

I forget for how long, but use of KABC and WABC and other calls that duplicate the ones used by ABC o&o TV stations was spelled out in the Disney to Citadel sale agreement around 2007, IIRC.
