Question about "WB 22"

Since nobody answered this on the Texas TV board, I thought I'd try reposting it here.

Hey, I think it's great that WB will be on free here in the Lubbock mareket. But from a cable stand point, I have a little problem.

You see, in the part of Lubbock I live, I need cable to watch both 14 and 22. Now, that wouldn't be a problem, except that there has been no announcement about whether WB 22 will be carried by Cox cable. Right now, UPN is carried on Cox Channel 6 in Lubbock, and WB remains on 23. That means that if I want to watch WB where I live, I need to shell out an extra 21 dollars for Extended basic, whereas if I just had basic cable, I would only be able to watch UPN, but not WB. That's because, You pay about $14 for channels 1-19, and an extra $21 for channels 20-64. (i. e, it's the differnce between $14 and $50)

So my question is this, does anyone know if there are any plans for WB's cable broadcast to move below channel 19 on Cox Cable Lubbock?

Because, if not, the fact that WB will be available over the air is worthless to me, (and I imagine, many others). And because I live in an appartment, a roof antenna is NOT an option.

Anyone?

UPDATE: Also, I noticed that WB23 is now missing from my Yahoo Cox Cable TV listings. Does anyone know if that is related?

Go to Radio Shack and get a good indoor antenna... it'll work fine. My get both channels way up in southern Hale County that way.

In Fox 34's news story, Klotzman said that no chnges for those of you who watch the channels on Cox cable.

Trust me, I tried that, but here in the appartment complex I live in just North of Tech, I get squat! I even had one of thoes antennas you plug in with the little knobs. It cost me $30. Did not good.

So I have to pay $50 just watch local tv, all because they won't move both WB and UPN inside the 1-20 linup.
Thanks Cox Cable!

Actually channel 24 is K24GP. My information is that it was relaying KGLR-LP channel 30, but I note the two stations are VERY close (if not on the same tower) so that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Especially if you aren't seeing anything on 30.

> 32 KJTV-CA Fox Accuweather What does the "-CA" desig. mean?

"Class A". From a technical standpoint, the same thing as a "low power" station. The difference is administrative: -CA stations agree to comply with many rules that don't apply to -LP stations, in return for which they're protected from interference from new full-power stations or facilities upgrades to existing stations.

K44HH, K48GB, and K69IM respectively.
