Does anyone know when WVKZ 1240am will increase their signal already for the capitol region? I live in albany & really like the station since they play songs from the 50s & 60s but i have to listen to them online because there's nothing but static on 1240am.

WVKZ is locked in at 1000 watts on 1240. They can't raise their power on that frequency. The only options they have are to replace WQAR 101.3 FM with that format (they won't...I wish they would) or to replace WABY-1160 with it, or do a simulcast. (Again...I doubt that they ever will)

I agree, Having Real Oldies WVKZ on 101.3 would be great.

I listen to WVKZ (1240) online… or, well, I used to. Now, the online stream doesn’t work. You are very lucky to have such a station in Albany.
