RadiOchic, "I've Been Waiting for a Girl Like You" to write such an "Urgent" message. "You Are" so right. Sure, I know, "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," but really, "Don't Dream It's Over" because we all want to "Make it Real." For me, I'm just "Walking on Sunshine" although "I Want a New Drug." My "Private Eyes" are looking for one, but it's "Hard to Say" when I'll find it. Sure, I'm just "Taking it all too Hard," but if this lasts much "Longer," I'll probably "Shout." Maybe I should just be a "Man in Motion" and get "Physical," or, then again, I could take my "Shattered Dreams" and just "Go Home" and waste my "Living Years" playing some "Solitaire." Or, perhaps, just "Runaway" (or "Run Runaway") to "Funkytown" (or maybe go "Sailing"?) so long as I'm "Back in Time."

"Goodbye," and "Better Love Next Time,"

"Mickey"

Haven't decided yet what the first 80's song that we will spin, yet. Anyone else want to post their suggestions?
How about "Video Killed the Radio Star"? It worked for MTV.

You beat me to it! That was what I was going to suggest.

Talk about a "one-hit" wonder. The Buggles.

Well, I suppose that one might work, granted it's already been played on KEOM a few times. I was thinking more along the lines of something with a little more UMPH ;D. Something that just screams 1980's ;) Something like *** On Feel The Noize by Quiet Riot... Ooooops, wait, is that one a safe song for KEOM?

So I stumbled on this thread while browsing the board. Good times! I'm sorry I didn't get to expand the music on KEOM to the 80s while I was still there. But you can always listen to my Internet station for your all 80s fix. :) I know KEOM celebrated their 30 year anniversary back in September, and congrats to them on that. It didn't feel right for me to celebrate that milestone with them given the ordeal of being pushed out the door in the fall of 2008 (oddly enough my last day there coincided with Dr. Griffin's birthday). I have to wonder if Al Brumley was rolling in his grave knowing what happened to me.

I understand the school district has a new Sup't now, but I'm not familiar with him personally nor am I aware if he is familiar with me and my long history with KEOM. Now if any of you are hoping his new leadership might result in me returning home to KEOM? Let me just go ahead and say I am not interested. Not only are the odds stacked against me, I also have no desire. I've been on the beach since that fateful day and I am putting all my energy into my Internet station.

1979 actually although it didn't chart on the Top 40 until 1980. :)
