Question for greg about the wrka vs wvez rivalry?

Aside from them being radio stations they were completely different formats in 1984 and still are. Just curious you know more about this then i do.Wvez in 1984 was muzak and wrka if memory serves me correct was between rock and rocking what ever the hell that meant lol

And in 1986 i remember glenn beck and the a team on wrka. Maybe glenn will be a star one day lol

So how and why was there a rivalry between the two?

I had heard rumors recently that before wvez went light rock in spring of 1986 (they played the carpenters and barry mannilow and now they play nickelback 22 years later my how times have changed) they were gonna go chr is there any truth to that rumor?

I read your post on www.lkyradio.com and just wanted to know more.
