This really belongs on the Charlotte board, but
since you're in Reidsville and you were able to
help me on my question about WBTV's "Pastors
Face Your Questions," I was wondering if you
ever heard of a program on WSOC called "Hour
Of Opportunity," which also ran on Sunday mornings.
If you know anything about it, could you get back
to me ASAP on this board? Thanks.
 
I think I remember hearing the name somewhere along the way, but I don't have a recollection of any content.

WSOC-TV got in some hot water back in the 70's over some of their Sunday morning preachers who got a little bit "racial" on the air. People sensitive to those issues complained, and the station discontinued all of the Sunday religious programs except the live worship services from First Presbyterian Church downtown. Hour of Opportunity may have been among the programs that they got rid of.

BTW...the station does allow a few religious programs early on Sunday mornings these days, but not like they did back then.
