Question for the board...

When is Russ coming back? ;D Just kidding. Can you believe it has almost been a year since the flip? The Fan signed on 12/8/08 and has sucked (allegedly) ever since.

jeffdfw. How funny, I was about to post the samething!! Was it not December 15th Russ was fired and "The Fan'" begun? My question is, how long can they go on? They don't have Gavin to blame anymore, he is gone. It makes you wonder what the future of 105.3 is. They could similcast KRLD 1080 and I think would do very well and keep "The Cowboys" happy and just have a few local sport shows. Let them have traffic and weather together in the drive times and get rid of Jagger. Just a thought. CBS has done this in other markets, so why would it not work here? I was joking in other post about "AMP105.3", but I don't think they will do that with I93 on the air. If that station had not done that,I think they might have made a run at it. If 105.3 put KRLD AM on the FM as well, they could get better ratings and cut over head. Just a thought!

I was trying to find the show's opening music - Fire and Mercy by William Orbit but it is not very easy to accomplish at work (everything is blocked). I was going to post a link. Shook Me All Night Long closed the show - right?

I remember waking up that day and turning on the radio and hearing nothing but college fight songs. I thought I had it on the wrong station at first but after about an hour I knew something was up.

As long as they have the Cowboys (and NASCAR) they can hang on. The Cowboys kept the Bone afloat for probably a year.

Jerry Jones just cares about his money, as long as CBS keeps paying he doesn't care.

Maybe CBS will just play college fight songs 24/7 except for the Cowboys games on 105.3.

It must be good to be Russ cashing his 7-figure checks while "The Fan" continues to immolate in the worst failure since the Hindenburg.

That opener song I have heard The Wolf use as a talk bed.
