Just looking on All Access, and I saw that WZBH-FM is looking for a morning show.

I'm about 1750 miles away, but I'd love to take a crack at mornings.

Is this the right board to ask questions concerning WZBH-FM?

If so, is Market #146 a competitve one? Can you move to Maryland and make a decent living on the air? I tried the website, but it's down.

Love to hear any facts and opinions about this!

Salisbury is pretty far from Washington/Baltimore, but some folks know the market because they go "down the ocean" in the summer. You might find some additional help at www.dcrtv.com. If you post your question in the mailbag, someone might know something.

This is from ESRTV.com.Quinn No Longer?-10/21-Shawn Quinn ("Quinn") who recently came to 93-5 The Beach from rocker 94.3 WQCM (Halfway, MD/Chambersburg, PA) to anchor the morning show 'The Morning After' has been missing on the show for almost a week now which fuels speculation that he might have been let go. If so this means another shakeup in the morning on 93-5 The Beach which has seen several different morning show combinations over the past few months. Right now 'The Morning After' is hosted by Sparx and Cage.....

The biggest problem that the Salisbury-Ocean City market has is that there are too many stations. There are the locals, the many class-A rimshots like WTDK, WCEM "The Heat", WCEI, etc, the stations from DC and Baltimore that make it into part of the market like WCBM and WBAL, the few Philly and Wilimington stations that make down that far, and even the stations that come across from NJ. Way too much dividing of the pie and not a lot of revenue. Clear Channel has 8 or 9 stations in the same building with a skeleton crew to cut costs. The thing about 93.5 The Beach is that they are always the top rock station in the area, but they don't seem to know how to sell the station. Clear Channels "96 Rock' gets half of the listeners that "The Beach" gets, but bills higher, for example. The pay is also really bad at most stations there, but I honestly don't know about pay at "The Beach". I do know that "Max 92.5" was looking to pay 25K for a morning show last year. Jeez!
