Question for WBZC

I just recently moved to Philly and got the chance to head out into Jersey and listen to the station... Can't believe how good it sounds, really tight, great music and decent imaging for a non-commercial. It comes in fairly well for about ten to fifteen miles along the Atlantic City Expressway.

Anyway, couldn't you get a CP to move closer to Philadelphia? It doesn't seem like there is much interference on that frequency. Thank you.

Thank you for the kind words. We have to protect several stations including 88.5 There are several other non-coms that are in the area around the frequency. We actually come in all the way down the AC Expressway until right around the Parkway. However if you go north we come in. That area is the pinelands and thats where our tower is.

We are working on a few things that could make our reach further.

It comes in along I95 in Pennsylvania, the Turnpike from exits 2-8, 295 until exit 60, and on the AC Expressway till the Parkway.

Don't forget to flip the dial to Wild 102.7 once you lose the Z88.9 signal when heading into Atlantic City.

For some reason last night, I managed to pull your station in Seaside Heights. Usually MCX would come in.

Exactly what I did, once I lost a decent signal from WBZC I flipped it right over to Wild! Sounded great hearing dance music on the radio.
