Question from a tourist...

I'm from near Nashville (Tennessee) and I'm going to Holiday World on Saturday.

I need to know what stations (AM and FM) can be heard from Santa Claus, Indiana?

If anybody from Santa Claus is actually reading this, I'd really like your input on the area's stations, which are good and which are bad.

104.7 FM out of Jasper is good. It's an AC station. 990 AM is Fox News Radio, pretty much a straight news talker. 98.5 is a decent country station.

Not much else in that area. It is somewhat remote. Where are you staying? The Motel 6 in Dale isn't bad. We stayed there one night and camped at the Lake Rudolph Campground another night. Enjoyed both places. The park is amazing. Free soft drinks and a great family atmosphere. You'll love the place.

I'd think he'd be able to get the strong stations from Evansville/Owensboro, like 92.5, 96.1, 104.1 and 105.3. WQXQ 101.9 would probably be pretty easy to get there, too. I believe Santa Claus also has a station of its own, though I've never listened to it. Like you said, there's not much there, though I understand it has an excellent water park or amusement park. It was never on my list of places to visit when I lived in Indiana.

After living in a city of 6 million people for the last 30 years, I crave living someplace with "not much there"...peace and quiet, low crime, no traffic issues...ah for the rural life again...

WAXL 103.3 is the station licensed to Santa Claus. I think they run a canned AC format.

You should be able to get almost all of the stations from Owensboro.

Took my wife and kids down there last weekend. We listened to some of the Evansville stations like WSTO and WIKY. As umfan said, it is a great time. Staff at the park is amazing, weekends a bit crowded as you would expect, but overall we had an amazing time.
