Question On 101.1 Jack FM's Sound Quality

I listen to Jack from New York City all the time on aol since i have a subscription with them and just wondering if anyone noticed anything different about WCBSFM/Jack's Sound Quality today who listen online or live in New York? It doesn't sound all that good, plus at times it sounds flat or a little to much bass. I know WCBSFM had this problem once they ruined their sound in Summertime 2004, but did it just get worse than what it was?

I remember CBS-FM's webstream sounding just AWFUL the last time I listened to whoever was on Sunday nights. The volume level kept going up and down like it was AM DX. The air signal should be fine (and an aircheck I have of Jack FM sounds fine) it's an issue with the webstream.

I think they feed there livestream directly from the on air processing. It's an Omnia with an HD output, I think. They use the HD output for feeding the livestream, I thought, so they have the same sound as on FM.

I'm not on AOL so I can't judge their stream but I think their over the air sound quality sounds pretty good...their processing is almost ACish, not very loud, and I think it sounds good and is easier on the ears, especially compared to a station like PLJ.

I listened today to 101.1 JACK-FM in my car and it sounds fine. Remember, that WCBS-FM is either about to go HD or has already converted. I remember when WNEW went HD, they stopped pounding the processing so hard on the analog side. Maybe that's going on?

According to Infinity Radio's website it looks like WCBS-FM already went HD on 101.1 they are listed under WNEW here's the link to it: http://www.infinitybroadcasting.com/digital/index.php its lists every Infinity Radio station that's hd/digital on the right side and only wnew and cbsfm are listed for ny.
