Don't worry my friend. All signs point to KRBE staying relatively the same as it has been.
I don't consider Spanish a possibility on KRBE at all. It's still early in that one year waiting period that the major companies are sitting out. Everybody wants to see what the trends are for Spanish language stations after a year before they decide to invest in further stations.
A Kiss FM would be truly dreadful.
104 may play the same "crap" over and over again but it's what their target audience wants to hear. They play a much better mix than 95% of the top 40 stations I've heard.
Compared to the Kiss stations, they play much less rap with a better mix of pop, dance and rock.
Compare KIIS in LA and KRBE. You'll notice a sharp difference in the variety of the playlist. KIIS's rhythmic leaning has gotten them impressive numbers, but it makes me thankful we still have good ol' 104.
