Question on Disney World Area Stations

I was in Disney world this past week and got a few Tampa bay stations on a little sony walkman (hampered by orlando but listenable) 94.1, 94.9, 10.15 and 103.5 were some I received at all hours. Tampa is a relatively far distance though isn't it? Disney I think is around Kissimmee, I think. Was i just not that great with the catches?

From the times I've driven through Orlando and Disney over the years, there are some Tampa stations that can be heard in that area even during regular conditions.

Get a little tropo going and most Tampa/St. Pete stations can easily be heard in Jacksonville.

Most of the stations there are 100,000 watts, and so they go pretty far. With a little tropo, you can hear Tampa, Jacksonville, Miami, and Ft Myers in Orlando

Central Florida is nothing short of spectacular for DX'ing. I've spent many a night there with a rich mixture of stations from all over the peninsula. IBOC is raising the noise floor, however, on my last trip.
