The new "wearable", IPOD type receiver is called the Sirius S50 and is due out in October. It is the size of an IPOD, has a full color screen, receives live programming in the car and home docks and can store up to 50 hours of programming for use as a walkman, on the go. It also will have the capability to remember and automatically record new content from your 3 favorite channels without even programming it if you want. Also, it will audibly say the name of the channels when you switch, so you won't have to take your eyes of the road if you are driving. And it will also store your own MP3's as well as Sirius content. Anyway, as you can tell, I can't wait for this device. You can find more info about the S50 on the web at places like
www.siriusbackstage.com (the sirius fan website and forums). You will find pictures and links about the S50 there, as well as threads in the equipment forum section that have more details on it.
I would encourage you to go ahead and make the jump. I don't think you'll be dissapointed. I have both Sirius and XM, and I certainly prefer the programming on Sirius overall, but you will find either to be better than your choices with FM. Personally, satellite radio is my favorite new invention of the past couple of decades. (I also have an IPOD, but I hardly ever use it anymore. I'd take satellite radio over my IPOD anyday).
