Question on WPSG going into the spectrum auction.

Scott Fybush on his website said that "CBS is likely to put the spectrum of one of those TVs, WPSG, into the auction". Is CBS going to put one of their two TV stations into the spectrum auction? Is that why CBS has been hesitant on the sub channels? Does 57-1 just map to one of the KYW sub channels and channel 57 becomes KYW-DT2 or KYW-DT3 while staying 57-1 on the tv tuner? Would that be repeated in Boston where CBS would do the same with channel 38 and channel 4?

How does this work? Is there a market for RF channel 32, which is what WPSG currently is?

"CBS has been hesitant on the sub channels"

Supposedly, they are soft-launching their new "Decades" subchannel on a few O&O's as we speak.

The Decades series-binge preview is currently up & running on 3.2 (replacing the lackluster CBS Philly+ news wheel) and shifting the CW Philly onto 3.X and mapping it back to 57 would probably make a lot of sense aside from however the picture quality might suffer from not having a dedicated independent signal anymore. If CBS was looking to cash in, this could totally be replicated in duopoly markets. Has CBS been broadcasting any subchannels from outside the company on ANY of their O&O's? If not, this whole (hypothetical) plan could work.

They are running an old movie on CBS 3.2, with a bug on the lower right saying "countdown to decades", right now.
