QUESTION REGARDING DICK SUMMER DURING HIS WBZ DAYS (1963-1968)

QUESTION REGARDING DICK SUMMER DURING HIS WBZ DAYS (1963-1968)

I know that Carl DeSuse lived in Concord, Bruce Bradley in Canton, Jefferson Kaye in Providence, RI, Ron Landry in Brighton, etc., when each of them was on WBZ, but I never knew what city or town Dick Summer lived in while he worked at WBZ. Anyone know?

So Jefferson Kaye had to drive all the way to Providence to get that coffee that he always told his wife to put on.

I believe that Dick Summer lived in Framingham----Jeff Kaye lived in Rumford R.I. to be exact; it was Jay Dunn who asked his wife to put the coffee on; he lived in Topsfield. I don't know how I remember this stuff!

Anyone else old enough to rememberthat back in the early 60s there was a promo film following the home life of the WBZ DJs which used to play before the feature at the local drive-ins? If a copy still exists, it should be playing in a continuous loop at a broadcast museum.

You're absolutely right. I mis-remembered(like Roger Clemens). Jefferson Kaye used to say "Smoke, if'n you got 'em, 'cause it's news time". He'd be drawn and quartered for saying that today.

Imagine people talking freely on the radio about where they live in 2011. Talk about drawn and quartered, today you could get maimed and tortured!

Still hear Dicks' voice on bender and Bender lawyer commericals
