Question regarding Scott Slade's morning show...

Unfortunately, with the current state of AM/Information radio in Atlanta, I am pretty much forced to wake up to WSB's morning show with Scott Slade. This morning, there was a time when it was mentioned that we "Lost our connection to Scott" and the news crew ran the show. Does Scott Slade run his morning show from home in Gwinnett county? I guess it doesn't matter that much with technology what it is, but it seems to me that if you're part of the premier morning show "team" in Atlanta, you would want to be able to better interact with them.

He had a pretty severe broken leg I believe a few months back. Perhaps he has not heeled yet?

That's right, forgot about that -- I guess I'll cut him some slack for working from home. Seems he came in the other week when he had lost power at home due to the storms.

Scott Slade retired in 2003. Before he left Atlanta, he recorded every word in the dictionary on to the CoxCom 750, a sophisticated computer that takes text and transfers it digitally and the output is plugged into the WSB control room and thus, Scott Slade is on the air. Every morning at 4:00 am, Jordan Graye and Kate McCarthy begin typing in the morning news scripts into the CoxCom 750. If there is breaking news, McCarthy works on that. Clever banter is actually scripted by Graye.

Hail2, if you are being "forced" to listen, you should complain to the Georgia Department of Family and Childrens Services. That's a by-the-book definition of abuse. DFACS will have you removed from abusive surroundings and get a restraining order barring your radio from coming within 150 yards of you.

You'll "cut him some slack?" Gee, that's nice of you. After all, he broke his leg in two places and couldn't walk, even with crutches, for a month. But, unlike some other people who might have taken a month off, he still did his show, albeit from home. I'm sure Scott is gratified that you've decided not to be so critical of him.

Gee, Scott, I didn't mean to offend you. I guess my ongoing frustration over the lack of a quality news-oriented station in this city came through my post. I think WSB has the capability to remedy that, but without any competition they have chosen to continue their same-old same-old.

Those two have a severe rivalry problem. Like matter and anti-matter. Once saw both of them get on an elevator and when the door opened again, only one walked out. The other one was just gone. Poof.

Scared me sane right there.
