My name is Jon-David Wells.

What's your's?

While Dan Arthur is learning how to be an American Soldier, I'm doing his PM Drive show on KOOL 93.1 in Las Vegas.

What do you do?

At various times in my Las Vegas music radio career, I have won in morning, and afternoon drivetimes. In Talk Radio here, I have been the highest rated local talk personality in Las Vegas, and am an award-winning production director.

How about you?

Have you ever had a winning book based on your own On-Air ability at any time in your career? If so, where? When? In what format, or formats?

Outside of radio, I've helped raise over 100-thousand dollars for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation; a group that sends the children of Special Operation Military Personnel killed in action or in training, to college.

What's your favorite charity, not associated with the radio station at which you work, if any? What have you done for it?

Also while a part of this community, I volunteered to be the Family Support Coordinator for the 257th Transportation Company, U.S. Army Reserve. I helped prepare the families of American Reserve Soldiers to cope with the family and financial hardships involved in defending this country on a part-time basis.

What have you done for this community, again independent of your radio work, if any?

So you've got the brass to call me out on my work, and citizenship....good.
Now, do you have the character to publicly share your credentials?

I'm betting not.

And what does it say about this market, that you, a gutless, anonymous, loser....working for a paycheck, not for your neighbors, purportedly manages to hold down a job here, while those of us who actually have accomplishments and credentials, soldier on waiting for competent management to give us a chance to flush you back down the sewer you crawled out of?

Not much.

May I suggest professional help?

"Don't hurt your arm patting yourself on the
back, windbag!"---voiceguy1

I'm not patting myself on the back. As we all have seen on this board, those who professionally operate in the interests of their neighbors are villified, ridiculed, and passed over in favor of anonymous, character-flawed, poisonous vipers who strike at the heels of those very people, who in spite of pernicious sabotage, still consistently succeed. In my opinion, your posts are nothing more that a monument to a justifiably guilty conscience.

Nor am I a windbag. What I've done here is a matter of public record. What you have done here sullies you, and Las Vegas radio in general.

Finally, this thread isn't about me. It's about a young pro asking for answers. How about helping him....you know, operate in the interests of your neighbor, and maybe a new colleague?

Can't do it, can you? I rest my case.

May I suggest professional help?"---Radioworker

Here's some professional help for you....G-R-A-N-D-E-U-R. As soon as you become literate, I'm sure you'll be well on the way of becoming the best program director in Wichita radio history. (www.wichita.org)

Also, since you were too busy straining your command of English to actually read my post, let me reiterate. (That means to repeat, often excessively....You know, like you did with 2nd grade?)

What's your name?

What do you do?

What are your accomplishments in Las Vegas radio, if any?

Have you ever had a winning book based on your own On-Air
ability at any time in your career?

If so, where and when?

In what radio format, or formats did you have this success, if any?

What's your favorite charity, not associated with the radio station at which you work, if any?

What have you personally done for this charity?

What public service work have you done for this community, again independent
of radio, if any?

And since you have the gall to anonymously attack my credentials in public, you can't possibly be enough of a flawed hypocrite to not publicly share yours....can you?

Finally, and most importantly, what have you shared with JDizzy about his aspirations in radio? Have you even offered to help him....Loser?

I'm not attacking anything. You have to HAVE credentials in order to attack them.

JDizzy, here's some good advise. Steer clear of people who claim to know everything; people who burn bridges; people who can't hold a radio job for longer than a few months. There's the advise.

"Too bad Radio-info doesn't have spell check."---Radioworker

Imagine the halcyon existence that would be possible if you didn't actually NEED spell-check?

What's your name? "Does not matter"---Rw

Then your opinions, contributions, and arguments here do not matter.

What do you do? "I am a successful long term
on-air talent"---Rw

Where? You attack my credentials, yet conveniently exclude yours. Again, your interactions here are feckless.

What are your accomplishments in Las Vegas radio, if any? "Successful describes this"---Rw

No, bull***t describes that. Evasion describes that. Hypocrisy describes that. (Also, lousy syntax and unfamiliarity with punctuation describes that. Too bad Radio-Info doesn't have communication-check.)

Have you ever had a winning book based on your own On-Air
ability at any time in your career? "Every book, again, successful."---Rw

Every book, successful. Why are you here? (I know! Because you're a liar.) How could you possibly be successful in every book with such a limited ability to communicate? You can barely make youself understood! Again, you're pegging the Bullsh-O-Meter.

If so, where and when? "Doesn't matter for this board"---Rw

But it does for your credibility.

In what radio format, or formats did you have this success, if any?
"Again, doesn't matter"---Rw

Let's review what we have so far....This is a guy who can't communicate in English, can't put his real name to anything he says, can't handle the fact that someone actually has the stones to stand up and call it like he sees it, has never had an unsuccessful book, yet can't identify any stations involved in what would be a stellar career.

Again....You're simply lying.

What's your favorite charity, not associated with the radio station at which you work, if any? "Several"---Rw

Evasion.

What have you personally done for this charity? "More than you would ever know."---Rw

And more than you can say publicly....Again, how convenient.

What public service work have you done for this community, again independent
of radio, if any? "Wow, JD. I have served my country in war, I have served my
community in time, and I have served my faith in church."---Rw

Since your professional credibility is now officially without merit, I sincerely wish your personal credibility was sufficient for me to believe you.

And since you have the gall to anonymously attack my credentials in public, you can't possibly be enough of a flawed hypocrite to not publicly share yours....can you? "I'm not attacking anything. You have to HAVE credentials in
order to attack them."---Rw

Radioworker, if "...you have to HAVE credentials in order to attack them"....Then WHERE ARE YOURS?!?

Here's where your deficits in intellect, logic and communication give lie to everything you've said so far. You just argued my point! Rw, you're simply over-matched here.

Finally, and most importantly, what have you shared with JDizzy about his aspirations in radio? Have you even offered to help him[?] "JDizzy, here's some good advise. Steer clear of people who claim to know everything; people who burn bridges; people who can't hold a radio job for longer than a few months. There's the advise."

Good. Fine opinion. See, this post wasn't a complete waste after all....Why, even I would tell JDizz to take it into account....Along with the fact that you mis-spelled "advice".

It's that communication bug-a-boo again, isn't it? Well, at least you have your succeessful rating books to fall back on.

Magic....

Your post is exactly why I respond. Radio at this moment, at least here in Las Vegas, is held in the hands of those who would, and indeed, do their best to slaughter anyone who would dare question the pathological mediocrity of our industry.

Radioworker is a perfect example of many successful people engaged in Las Vegas radio. He knows what butt to kiss, and when. He's traded his personal integrity, credibility, and even basic logic for nothing more than a barely adequate paycheck. He represents those who substitute hard-won professional competence and achievement for pathetic, though admittedly successful office politics, and anonymous back-biting.

Another question begged here is why any radio manager would have a person like that working at his or her station in the first place? And in the Post-9-Eleven world to boot?

When, (not if) terrorism turns its baleful gaze to Las Vegas, would you want Radioworker to be the one telling you about it....live, on air, in real time? He can barely express himself in the pressure-free anonymous world of an internet chat-room. How would he broadcast breaking news of a Sarin gas attack in the lobby of a Strip Hotel/Casino?

Or, would you rather that broadcast come from someone who puts his name on his work, and stakes his professional reputation on what he says.....even in response to a "specious attack" on his character? (And, by the way, actually knows how to spell the word Sarin? Don't laugh...How could Radioworker look up information about that nerve agent on the internet, if he had no idea how to spell it?)

This is the choice that confronts us....Sycophantic kissing of the Las Vegas Radio Emperor's Arrogant Butt, or the By-God Truth?

Radio professionals will operate in the public interest as a public trustee, or will be swept aside. Radioworker can do as he pleases....I'm taking care of my neighbors.

"What's funny, is that all this started from a simple joke;
New guy asking advice from , um, a seasoned broadcaster.
Let's all hug."---Radioworker

What's funny is that lame excuse for another yet round of pernicious shot-taking by you, and your buddy Voicegas1, against an "....um, seasoned broadcaster" who only answered a call for help from a guy who just wants to get into radio.

A hug? No. A Duel? Sure. Choose your weapons.

(Free advice? Don't pick your mind. That arsenal is a bit bare.)

Now Radioworker, are you going to take that from JD? DAMN!

By the way, regarding your alias, "Radioworker". Are you the janitor at a radio station? Receptionist? Sales assistant? What?

C'mon boy! Dispell the truth about yourself! Have some balls for once!

don't rest your case...have your so called career Rest In Peace!
I will try to help this"young pro"......
Don't listen to someone who has gotten canned everywhere he has gone because he is a True Know-it-all...the kind that burns bridges with out having a clue!
You want to be successful, work hard, be on time(at least 15 mins. early)
be a team player and try to "step up" by being willing to fill extra shifts and understand that even the best of us have off days.

Hope that helps.
