I beleive G&C were on Kicks 106
Y&E on Rock 99 (Or as Tony Curry called it, "Classic Rock duh duh Dine")
R&S on Magic
Doc on ZZK

Young and Elder were on I-95. IIRC, they were the last morning drive team on I-95 before Jack Boston did mornings on Mix 94.5.

Greg and Courtney were on K-99 (remember the 4th Avenue Car Wash), then Kicks, then Rock 99.

There are two guys who, together, helped define Top 40 Radio in Alabama (Birmingham) in the '70s that haven't been mentioned here at all...

  • Coyote J. Calhoun (96 ERC)
  • Super Fox (The Big 610 WSGN)

This list can't be complete without these two clowns.

I know where Coyote is...does anybody know where Fox is these days?

Re: Question about Super Fox

I haven't heard him since he was on 99-7 DJX in Louisville circa '85-'86. He first did mornings there, then was doing nights, and still doing the same end of the show bit he was doing on 'ERC, then 'SGN, then 'ERC again. Who else remembers the musical jingle...."Super Fox is a copyrighted feature, and may not be reproduced without the written consent, without the written consent, of (insert station jingle, but my favorite was 96-ERC).

I don't remember that...but I DO remember the Boogie Check! Would love to have some airchecks of that. Or just the bed...

Super Fox's Closing Jingle

The closing jingle was used at the end of his shift---meaning that you had to be up at midnight to hear it on his first stint at 'ERC or at 'SGN...or listening at 7:00 p.m. during his second stint at 'ERC. :)
