hi to all i want some help plz
i have one dspx-fm for my radio and i want to ask what must to put in front or back which is better i dont know,to the dspx-fm so that i will get petter sound.
thanks.
What is it you are after? More loudness, more punch or more consistency in you leveling?
I had a Compellor 320A and a Aphex 204 Big Bottom in front of my DSPX-FM to give the sound more body. The DSPX-FM itself is quit capable of producing great loudness so if that is what you're after you might need more tuning.
Check out my weblog there you'll find a zip to download with DSPX-FM presets.
With tuning I mean that if you need more loudness it is possible with the DSPX you just need to find the right setting.
Although I've put the compellor in front of the dspx to protect the Aphex Big Bottom it also added more overall loudness even when set to leveling than compression without losing clarity.
When you are looking for loudness you might trade off a bit of clarity and run you limiters harder. Try to set the level into the MB limiters to 2db or higher creating a more dense sound, and you could set you MB and final clipper drive higher but be careful for distortion. I would help you with your preset and loading it in mine but I don't have my DSPX anymore.
