Questions about "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" by panic at the disco

I've heard this song on the radio and while it is a catchy tune, I do have a couple of questions about the content.

1. Exactly what is this song about? What is letting it out in the open instead of closing the door supposed to mean?

2. Do any of the radio stations bleep out the word God in the chorus? My local top 40 station does. I realize that the context of that word in the chorous does sound blasphameous in my opinion.

1) It's about two getting a marriage when the guy finds out before they get married that she's been having tons of affairs which is why they say "what a shame, the poor groom's bride is a wh0re"

2) Yes, because it's religious.
