Quick Question Here...

I have a quick question here that I want to know is...

Did The FOX Broadcasting Company & Most of their affiliates broke into regular programming at around 3:00pm on April 15, 2013 for a FOX News Special Report on the very 1st reports of the explosions at the Boston Marathon race? Because apparently I didn't even check my FOX Station (WFFF-TV) to see if they were airing it or not, and did they also broke in on April 16, 2013 for Obama's Statement on what happened yesterday at the race, and at 5:30pm On April 17, 2013 for Obama's Statement on Gun Control, plus on the day of the shooting at MIT on April 18, 2013? and the Manhunt search and capture on April 19, 2013? and of course the moment of silence on April 22, 2013?

If Anybody knows please let me know, Thanks!

I think our local Fox back in Seattle (KCPQ 13) actually went into a Fox News Channel simulcast. I checked around 6:00PM ET (3:00PM PT) and there it was. CBS (KIRO) was relaying WBZ-4 and ABC/NBC (KOMO/KING) were in national reports. Don't know about the capture on April 19.

So apparently FOX Used A Simulcast of their News Channel huh, interesting, you know if WMUR's 2 Northern NH TV Stations (W27BL Berlin & WMUR-LP29 Littleton) were still FOX affiliates today, then they would've have to block WMUR's own coverage of the event on their 2 low power TV Stations in favor of a simulcast of FOX News Channel instead.

I don't know that they would've had to have done so, but for out of market affiliates, Fox leveraged their cable news net to cover a major emerging story. I'm sure local stations could've retained their own coverage if they people on the scene.

I'm sure stations like WFXT, WNYW and WNAC were in local coverage, but those stations a long ways out of Boston went just to the national feed.

NECN (New England Cable News) from Newton, MA (borders Boston to the west) was wall-to-wall for days with very few commercials, as one would expect. WFSB-TV (CBS) channel 3 of Hartford just went with the CBS national feed initially. They, along with many other New England TV stations, sent a reporter over to do live shots during the aftermath.

KKLM, were you referring to statements by the president of the United States, Barack Obama?
