With KSPN doing the Laker games in 2009-10, who will carry the Clippers?

KLAC's a lost cause after they stop broadcasting Lakers games. Most of the ratings that they receive come from broadcasting Lakers games although they overall have a better sports talk line up than KSPN. But with KSPN broadcasting Laker games, and Angel games and national events like the Bowl College Series and all MLB and NBA finals/playoff games, KLAC is a lost cause. All they have are UCLA games and some NFL games...Do you think KLAC would ever switch to All News so KFI could focus even more on talk?

KSPN has not broadcast Angels baseball games since 2007.

KLAC will never be news. Clear Channel will never do an all news station in Los Angeles. Clear Channel is moving to national formats, not localized stations, including major markets. What you hear on KLAC is what they want their stations to sound like everywhere.

How much more talk do you want on KFI? They only do news at the top and bottom.

ESPN 710 also broadcasts USC Football and Baseball.

KLAC's sports talk line-up SUCKS since none of it is localized. It is NOT better than ESPN 710's AT ALL.

That's right. Sorry, I forgot that KLAA broadcasts Angels games now. My mistake!
CC wouldn't have a big problem with all news though. They already have a national news feed which could take up most of the hour and they would only need one person on the mic (who wouldn't have to be from LA) to read off LA news.
I was just saying All News as a consideration because honestly, who would want to listen to KLAC after the Lakers leave? Who in LA seriously would WANT to tune into a Clipper game when the Clippers sell tickets for about 1/20 of what a Lakers ticket costs?

Clear Channel does not do 24-hour news. They only have one station in the entire chain that does news and that's only a rebroadcast of HLN. KFI uses Fox News for any national news reports.

Well, you're still not quite there. KFWB is broadcasting Angel games Monday thru Friday in addition to KLAA. I think most in LA hear the games on KFWB as opposed to KLAA, which has a signal slightly better than two tin cans tied to a rope.

As for the Clipper broadcasts, I don't see a lot of stations even on the AM band lining up for that one. Talk about a way to kill whatever ratings you actually do have...
