With all that's happened, where do you think she'll wind up? I don't think the format flip is imminent as others have said. Any thoughts or more inside knowledge??

I'm only hearing it second hand which is why I hoped someone had more information. All I know is the PD was involved somehow but he's trying to cover his butt. Sucks for both of them but he deserves it.
 
Well you guys know that the whole industry knows that she's working the "edges", and that can account for the way the jocks that work shifts before (and after her)her said so much. Who can blame them, when she allegedly does all of that stuff someone has to make noise about it. And apart from that, the "items" that were left behind may have something to do with it, and as far as the PD is concerned, AL PD's cover thier butts..it's part of the job, and one of the only rewards is being able to do it successfully. Oh and let's not forget that "she" may not be who "she" says she is. That too might have been all a big part of the great unravelling..She could have changed, but why? She thought she had it made, and life was sweet..It could have been, and maybe was for a short time, but when it all gets boiled down, it all catches up with us all eventually..It was obviously her turn this time. Where ever she lands you can bet a paychek that it will be a different place. Usually, but why? you see now? Man I hat this kind of thread.
 
And that whole thing about her Columbian lover only made it worse.
 
It made it worse by just being plain tacky. I wonder what her Mom would say about how her daughter conducts herself. Then again, maybe the fruit doesn't fall too far from the tree.

I try to think positive about most people but it's pretty tough when you know the inside poop. It should be interesting to see how all this plays out.
 
Look..don't you guys think the situation is bad enough now? what if her "new employer" gets wind of this board? Enough. Her Mother is a nice lady, and she worked hard all those years. The PD had a LOT to do with it, and the guy Rick was referring to was NOT "Columbian"..that all got confusing when that article came out. The magazine was talking about him coming from Columbia...SOUTH CAROLINA..and you know who is there now with Tampa ties right? Also they were NOT "lovers" either. I heard they rented a house together is all..and wait until you hear what blows up next week! The person who told me this is already making plans if you know what I mean. Hey "White Meat" did the package finally arrive? Sorry. I couldn't find one small enough to fit in the UPS envelope so I had to use that stupid box.
 
Jeff, I think the article threw us all off. Thanks for the clarification... The plans you refer to have unfortunately been put on hold. I talked to her sister's cousin (who the current PD knows), and Jeremy, who has spoken about her in the past, decided to bring this out in the open. I don't blame him, especially since he lost his gig. But he needs to learn that the corporate world doesn't tolerate as much as local ownership used to prefer not to deal with.

Whatever happens, I feel sorry for her Mom.
 
It would be nice to have that kind of job security.

Why am I not surprised that the writer of the article screwed up the two "Columbias". That makes much more sense now.

I was talking with one of her former co-workers who had a different take on the whole situation. The whole "House-mates thing"? BWAHAHAHA. I've got a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to talk to you about. The article this week should enlighten everyone on this "situation" and hopefully they can keep the facts straight.
 
Somehow the follow-up article got squashed, but the story is out there and most everyone knows it by now. That whole thing with the twins and the riding mower made this too sordid for the Trib or the Times, but I hope someone like the Weekly Planet has the cajones to print the truth. She deserves her story to be told, even if it means Alex gets dragged into it. And to think that it all started with an unintentionally aired phone call. Radio has changed so much over the years...
 
Alex had that run in with the Marion County Sherriff last Fall, but she didn't have anything to do with it. As far as anyone knows that didn;t enter into the plan, but there's another angle here that I can't believe nobody brought up. The company policy! Yes..Even though the "policy" is strict on this issue it would not be farfetched to think that maybe the one that cooked it all up in the beginning should have the flashlight pointed at them! Jeremy tried to make the print media out to be the bad guys here, but if you take a look at the big picture all she had to do was tell him to buzz off and leave. Whoever posted before in this thread was right on target with that comment. You are probably the only one who knows the real stroy huh?

Muttley, I have no idea where you got your information, but Don Geronimo did NOT have anything to do with the midgets, nor has he ever been in Columbia. Besides, she told her Mom that it was over between her and the other guy that interned with Don & Mike, and her Mom told my friend's cousin (who knows the guy who wrote all that stuff about the thing in Albequerque) that it was indeed Jeremy who was in the wrong.

But... for her sake, I hope cooler heads prevail and they let the rest of the staff continue to do great radio.
 
whoa man, i do not have any idea what you are talking about. the don and mike aside was just that. i really like d&m and wish the would be on the air here. sorry if you thought it was a slam or something.
 
I'm sure Muttley didn't mean it..From what I can see he's okay..Leave him alone. And stop bringing the midgets or Albuquerque into this whole thing. They were a small (pardon he pun) part of the puzzle. If she caed a whit about any of this SHE would be the one to pipe up, but look who's clamming up now! Hey that Seminole Hard Rock sure it nice..Went there after the Def Lepperd/Journey concert. Couln't find Cowhead after he left the stage.
 
Hey Muttley... sorry bro... no offense intended! This whole thing with her has gotten out of hand.

Jeff is right as usual... she needs to step up and end the speculation, rumors, and innuendo. I got as caught up in this drama as anyone, but without all of the facts, I'm going to forget about it. Hopefully she comes to her senses, if not for Jeremy, than for her Mom.
