Quietstorm overdose

I noticed that KRNB here in Dallas/Ft. Worth has dropped their Saturday night mixshow, (which was too old school for me), and went back to The Quietstorm 7 nights a week. In my opinion, that's overkill. I really don't want to hear slow jams at 9 and 10 O'clock on a Friday and Saturday night. The mixes sounded too jammin oldies, but that's better than the love-making music EVERY night. Are there any other Urban AC stations doing this?

KJLH Los Angeles will play slow R&B from 8pm-12am Monday through Thurday when Kevin Nash is on the air. On Friday Night and much of Saturday they'll cut loose. Bucwhyl KJLH is still Urban AC but with a younger lean these days. The Queit Storm program usually runs from Sunday Nights through Thursday nights according to my analysis. BTW Not to be getting in your business but how old are you? I'm almost 19 and I don't mind listen to that baby making R&B music from way back when LOL ;D.

Most Urban AC's mainly Clear Channel carry The Keith Sweat Hotel. It airs Sun-Thursday at 7pm. WVAZ in Chicago and KMJM in St. Louis air it overnights at 12am. When KHHT in Los Angeles went on the air in Aug. 2001 The Quiet Storm aired on Friday and Saturday nights. The Saturday verison was dropped after a while. If a market has 2 Urban AC's it shouldnt be a problem. Honeslty KRNB cant stick to anything programing wise for years.

Oh no, that sucks! Here in ATL on Friday and Saturday nights all 4 Urban stations are live in the club. I can understand Sunday through Thursdays but geez not the weekends. Radio One's 94.5 must be making noise?

B, I'm 42 and I don't mind it either. Just not every night of the week. I've made my babies, they're grown and I'm not planning on making any more... ;)

Looking at KSOC playlist from Saturday on yes.com its the same regular Urban Oldies format from 7pm til 12am. I notice they finally added some 90's music. I figured they would stay in the 70's and 80's range.

Cumulus satellite urban AC The Touch dropped the Friday and Saturday night specialty shows for voice tracked slow jams with KRNB's Ron Chavis sometime ago. I really miss the specialty shows myself.

wdas-fm in philly does the Quiet storm on friday nights i think its voice tracked
on the other hand 100.3 WRNB does a mixshow from 7pm-12midnight
why cant WDAS drop the Quiet storm on friday nights and do some kind of upbeat show

KMJK Kansas City airs Magic after Dark with VT Mel Devonne on Fridays. XHRM San Diego airs The Quiet Storm with Mike Julius on Fridays too.

KBLX in San Francisco has always played slow jams/R&B soul love songs 7 nights a week. After Entercom bought the station from ICBC as of a month ago, they still do this but since it's not called "The Quiet Storm" anymore it's now called "Smooth R&B After Dark", which sounds like a knockoff title from say "Magic/Majic After Dark."
