Qwest...I mean Fox Sports Net Arizona

What is with FSN Arizona these days? They've sold the naming rights to most (if not all) of their local pre- and post-game shows to Qwest (i.e. "Qwest (insert team name here) Live"). Either they were approached by Qwest with a deal they couldn't refuse, or they're trying to irritate (Qwest's arch-rival) Cox for some reason (maybe to get them to carry their HD channel). Whatever they did, it's getting rather annoying.

It could be both.
There was a story I read recently on the wire where Qwest bitched that Cox allowed a bee hive to be built in one of their switchboxes (I wish I saved it...the story, not the switchbox).

To have Qwest sponsor post-games, that will surely be carried by Cox Cable, could be considered a slap in the face of Cox. At the same time, a news update, produced by KTVK at halftime (Suns games), could be a smart way to tell all watching the game on My 45, to tune in channel 3 for all of their news needs.
If there are no rules that disallow it (NBA, NFL, NHL), consider it as good promotion.

There may be stories of sabotage from both Qwest and Cox, but right now I see Cox as the lesser of the two evils. If Qwest wants my business, they better step up and offer DSL where I live! They can spend millions a year in advertising trying to lure back Cox customers, but they won't be successful until they can deliver the service to everyone, even if I have to pay more with Cox (according to Qwest). Don't tell me that they don't have the money to spend on improving their network, because they sure seem to have enough to advertise big time (end of rant).

Good point. Also, Qwest offers DirecTV service to some of its customers (and FSNAZ and DirecTV are commonly owned), but DirecTV doesn't even offer FSNAZ-HD!
