A 4.8 for 1010 has to be a glitch. There is probably no way 1010 would beat 620 in the ratings. I bet that is for the FM not the AM

Doesn't Tampa have that "Mahaffey Center for the Performing Arts"? I hear many concerts promoted there - including on stations in Tampa from his two former employers. It truly is "a household name"...

I got an award and a plaque from Pinellas County for Diversity Training and how it affects STD prevention to the Health Dept employees. I got employee of the year award from my last employer in 2005. I got Volunteer of the Year Award from a local AIDS Service Organization in 2001. I got a letter of comendation from the Citry Manager in Richmond Va. for volunteering for Y2K emergency duty . That's 4 I can remember.

That is a good point. On that note, why doesn't WPCV (?) at 97.5 hire him for AM drive and focus on Tampa. They come in fine on car radios.

Hall Communications is one of the few revered radio companies to work for - I only say that based on looking at their New London, CT cluster - and I'm sure Skip would fit in well on PCV, but considering it's technically Winter Haven, would be consider it a "step backward" from Tampa?

WPCV is the big fish with the little fishes. Their localism would be compromised if they started targeting the Tampa market which is saturated already.

Because of its monster signal it allows for people to keep listening to the station when they leave their home area of Polk county for purposes of commuting or doing business in the larger city - be that Tampa or Orlando.

To me, it is an enviable position as it is.
