R.E.: Liberal Talk Sleep-Aid (Mike Webb)

http://radioequalizer.blogspot.com/2005/11/sleepy-libs-drift-off-during-show.html

Once, he called for the President's execution. These days he's just lulling
Seattle liberals (aged 55 +) to sleep.

Perfect of example of do as I say not as I do:
"He supports labor unions on the air, but pushed an AFTRA decertification effort at KIRO without disclosing it to his listeners. Webb rails against Republicans for supposedly being rich, uncaring and greedy, yet drives a shiny black Lexus to work each evening."

I mean, I could tolerate a black Lexus, but then Webb had to go and make his all shiny! That is where I must draw The Line.

But certainly Al Franken isn't rich? Else I will have to hate him, too.

(Sorry, maybe the AFTRA thing has some merit, but I had to properly ridicule this part first.)

IGNORE HIM AND HE'LL GO AWAY

Don't reply to this guy. Don't even read his posts.
He is just a blog-reading, political groupie trying to stir up sh*.
Send him over to the off-the-air board where he belongs.
Take back this board for discussion of radio.
He is not in Seattle. He probably never heard of Mike Webb, let alone listen to him. He did not even provide a link to the actual column (which is from the Seattle P-I).
All he does is troll the blogs looking for mud to sling.

Can we get rid of ALL the blog-reading, political groupies or just this one?
Half News/Talk used to consist of this which is why I'm here so seldomly. You mean it's gotten better?

Actually, we're trying to take that one back for the light-hearted stuff we used to enjoy. It's about half political hate-mongering now.

A universal post about this thread

In countering the numerous post of Racccon....i think you either let him do his damage or ignore him....which is fine. I think people get a little frustrated with him as they do with me at times as well....and others just as much too.

We all wish Raccoon would post more articles of merit from legitimate sources but he does have the right to his opinion...even when its sadly out of whack and extrapolated from loonies like on his favorite posting resource, Free Republic or this unemployed blogger who keeps posting attacks on all liberal radio resources....but rarely brings truth into his post....

I think this post could have been on either "off the air" or here in "news/ talk" but politics have been encourage to move to "off the air".

Salty rails against the use of Off the Air as an area where "fun" or "light natured" posts are intermixed with posts that may be political or of a nature that he may consider "hate mongering" only because he may deem them to be so. The nature of that board per the moderator welcomes messages of both types. When you stop by, you will see that many of both are thriving there. The moderator has made his rules clear there. I suspect who ever moderates news/talk will probably set down clear rules in this forum. Salty certainly has the right to his views on both forums.

Back to the issue being posted...the guy Webb has the nerve to "own" a Lexus....oh my god can the rules of physics hold....can a liberal have cash enough to buy a nice car...? and when they do, they get attacked as George Soros and other rich left-leaners do..its very humorous when bloggers and others attack people who are rich activists..

If one takes time to read the articles linked to in the blog entry we can certainly see that this former bad radio host (again still unemployed) had little to muckrake this holiday weekend...maybe his audience had tired of his constant inaccurate ravings about liberal/progressive radio and its businesses.

If you like Webb, great. If you don't, then you have some actions alleged on his part that might make you dislike him a little more. Otherwise, the articles and the bloggers' opinion are spurious at best and a waste of time at worst.
My opinion...this blogger should write his resume and quit trying to be a blogger....maybe he can fail at one career at a time.....but he has the right to his opinion...despite how worthless it may seem to those who choose to read it and of value to the rabid ones who actually take time to give this guy any credit.

Re: A universal post about this thread

The blatherwatch blog (referred to in the equalizer Webb article) has also criticized Webb.

BTW, a week ago while the 680 WRKO audio stream was left on accidentally, I heard Brian Maloney call into a Sunday night interview with Michelle Malkin.

Has Maloney ever filled in for any TRN hosts?

Maloney and Malkin often show up together on a right wing show near you. What was especially amusing is when Maloney was labeled as an "industry analyst" and was sitting in the impartial observer seat on O'Reilly several weeks ago, all to join in on Malkin and O'Reilly bashing AAR.
