Bob LeMond, the '50s-era announcer who introduced
"Jerry Mathers as The Beaver" each week, has passed
on at age 95.
He was the announcer on Lucille Ball's radio show "My
Favorite Husband" as well as the "I Love Lucy" pilot.
He could be seen as well as on-camera announcer and
commercial spokesperson on Edgar Bergen's "Do You
Trust Your Wife?" (the forerunner of Johnny Carson's
"Who Do You Trust?").
LeMond had been retired since the '70s, mostly making
business investments since then.
But remember the name the next time you watch the
opening of "Leave It To Beaver."
