I've just recieved the sad news that Coyote McCloud has passed away...

Seeing two threads started about Coyote's passing within a minute of each other reminds me of last year on this board, when just as many threads were created upon the news that Gerry House would be leaving WSIX - but that doesn't surprise me, since both of these folks were local radio legends. And while Gerry was in a "house" by himself, Coyote was in a houseboat.

Here's a moving passage about his death from the Tennessean:

Can't read the above link...it wants a user ID/password.

Where was Coyote from and what stations did he work at prior to Atlanta and Nashville?

As I just posted in the other thread, I first heard him on a Chattanooga station, WGOW, where he was on the air as Bill Scott (with his sidekick, Bruce Kroon).

IIRC (could be wrong), Coyote worked six months in Birmingham as part of a no compete between his last days at Kicks 104 and starting at Y-107.
