He passed away Saturday morning at Providence Hospital in Mobile. He was a Mobile radio veteran.

Hound Dog was working at Oldies 106 in 1997 when I was interning at 92 Zew. He was always one of my favorite people in the building. I am so sorry to hear that he is no longer with us. What was the cause of death?

I just read where Dennis died from a fall. Here's part of the article...
Months after suffering a stroke, Stacy was recovering but died after sustaining injuries in a fall, said friend and former colleague Ron Reams, who is Internet news producer at WPMI-TV15.
His former partner at WABB, Leslie Fram, has fond memories of being on the air with "the Hound Dawg" during the 1980s.
"This is a very sad day for me," Fram said Monday from Atlanta, where she relocated in 1990 and now works for Cumulus Radio. "He was truly loved by everyone at the radio station. He did a lot of public appearances, and as a show, we went out a lot. He was very funny on the air and knew his music very well. He loved his oldies."
Fram recalled how she and Stacy would do "outrageous promotions" for WABB during Mardi Gras and other special times. She remembered broadcasting alongside Stacy in a cherry picker high above the streets of downtown Mobile, as well as from WABB's "Beach Patrol" on the beach in Gulf Shores.
"Dennis has the biggest heart of anyone I ever knew. We had a blast doing the show together and doing the appearances together."

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Dominic Catholic Church, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service. Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street is handling arrangements.
