R.I.P. Esequiel Rodriguez

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/deaths/4270269.html

Does anyone know who he is? According to his obituary, he was a local musician who was a member of a latin orchestra group Eloy Perez's Latinaries back in the 60s in Rosenberg. According to Gus Garza on KPFT, they were pretty big back then. He died in a fire in his home on Tuesday morning. This also has a big personal impact on me right now because Esequiel happens to be the grandfather of my girlfriend. She is still not taking this news well at all because of how close she was to him. So just wondering if anyone has heard or him or the group he was in...if anyone can recall.

I'm not familiar with his work at all, sdh, but you and your girlfriend are definitely in my thoughts and prayers. My condolenses to your family.
