Golfer turned TV golf analyst Ken Venturi has died, just a few days after his 82nd birthday.
Venturi had considerable success as a professional golfer between 1957 and 1966; but circulatory problems in his hands forced him to cut short his playing career at it's peak.
Venturi then joined CBS where he spent 35 years as a golf analyst, working numerous Masters tournaments and the PGA Championship from 1991 (when CBS got the rights) through 2002, along with other tournaments. He was usually in the anchor booth, working with such announcers as Pat Summerall (who passed away earlier this year), and Jim Nantz.
