Singer/voice artist Len Dressler is dead at the age of 80.

While his name may not "ring a bell" with most people, everyone who watched television between the early 1960's and the early 1990's heard his voice from time-to-time: He was the voice of the Jolly Green Giant in TV commercials for that line of vegetables, where he would sing-out "Ho Ho Ho", as follows:

Singer Or Chorus (singing): In the Valley Of The Jolly.....

Green Giant: Ho, Ho, Ho

Singer Or Chorus (singing): Green Giant.

For years, Dresler also did the voice of "Snap" in commercials for Rice Krispies.

This is a link to a UPI story on Dressler's death as republished on the website of Chicago radio station WLIT-93.9.
