Lou Ralws, one of the great legends in pop and soul music, has died at the age of 72.

Besides being a succssful recording artist for many years, he also raised millions of dollars for scholarships through his "Parade Of Stars" telethons.

Yes, I posted the sad news at 12 PM today on the "Off the Air" Board. When I think of Lou Rawls, I just don't think Oldies.

The reason I posted the news on the "Oldies" board was that many oldies stations now play hits from most (or all) of the 1970's, and I would think many oldies stations have played Rawls' big 1976 hit "You"ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine". It certainly was a huge hit on Top-40 radio at the time.
