I knew that Mr. Vandross had been in bad shape for quite some time, but I was very saddened to hear of his passing. He has been one of my favorite singers for many years. This is indeed a major loss for the music industry and the world in general.

Same here. I have every CD, from his first, "Never Too Much", to his last "Live in New York City" (his last sudio was "Dance With My Father", in which the title cut won song of the year at last year's grammys, co-written by himself and Richard Marx). I seen him in concert in Kansas City in 1993. En Vogue opened up for him and the show was fantastic!!!! I played "Superstar/Until You Come Back To Me (That's What I'm Gonna Do)" at home today because I thought it was one of THE classics this man has given to the industry. It was one of my personal favorites, too. Does anybody have a favorite Luther song you would like to share? Holla back......

"Here And Now" is, in my opinion, a masterpiece. I like everything he did, though. Man, what a voice!!!!

The Glow of Love with Change is my favorite one. Janet owes Luther a big thanks for her hit All for You.

Very sad, especially that he died at such a young age. He had so many good songs through the years. Many people would be surprised that he sang back up on David Bowie's huge hit "Fame".

My favorite Luther song was one of his earliest hits "Never too Much", but he had good music throughout his career. I thought "Dance with my Father" was a very touching song. He was very talented and seemed like a good, gentle man.
Very sad when somebody like that passes.

Both songs he recorded with Change were masterpieces ("Searching" is the other track). I played both of those songs back when it came out in 1980 and I was a kiddie disco dj (I was 13 at the time).
