Legendary local College radio DJ "Naughtius Maximus" Richard "Slouch" Gensiak passed away due to Cancer related issues. Rich was an alternative, Punk trailblazing icon on WLVR and WMUH. He could have worked commercial rock radio if he wanted, but he was just too hip to do so. He half joked to me once that he wanted to board up for an AM station for sh--s and giggles.
In addition Gensiak promoted many great punk and old school country acts which not many appreciated except for a few wise LV hipster legends. Some of the acts included Sleepy Labeef and Rosie Flores. R.I.P. Richard Slouch
