R.I.P. to Power 98.3's Chris Chavez

How sad that they removed his picture and bio from their website, you'd think they have something in memory of him on their website.

Chris was no longer at the station which is why he was off the web site. His passing was a terrible tragedy but you had to take this tragedy and try to make the station look insensitive. That, in my mind, is shameful.

Bill Heywood was no longer in KTAR's employ when they honored his passing. I agree with azradiofan - and there's nothing remotely shameful about questioning why an employer can't acknowledge a former employee. It's the right thing to do, period, end of story. Prayers going out to Chris' family and friends.

Chris was my ONE of MY greatest friends from my home city of EL Paso, Texas. I loved the guy, kind of HARD NOT TO. The news of his Job Loss and especially his passing hit me to the core, as well as other brother & sisters in the business. Those who KNEW Chris as a great man and a PHENOMENAL TALENT! I came to this thread only to express that I loved him and see how others felt as I did about Chris. I knew, from many conversations w/Chris, that he was at HIS MOST HAPPIEST with his NEW positions professionally and in LIFE. Clearly a great example of something WE all as Radio folk and PEOPLE strive hard to achieve. He was living the dream, God TRULY Blessed him and now calls upon him. Chris, Shine down and smile upon us all who you loved. I'd END with a Rest in Peace, but I KNOW you're Looking as well as protecting your family from beyond.
